Quadrant, the independent UK real estate asset management and development company, has made three new appointments and three promotions as it continues to expand its capabilities across investment, transactions and strategic development.
John Tweddle has joined as Senior Advisor and Sebastian Patrick as Associate Partner, bolstering Quadrant’s growing Strategic Development team, now led by Kylie Philpotts. Alice Liao has been appointed Associate Partner focusing on transactions and supporting Pei-Wen Yen, who has been promoted to Head of Transactions, as Vanessa Davey has been promoted to Chief Investment Officer.
Industry veteran John Tweddle brings over 50 years’ experience in strategic masterplanning, having spent his career at Bidwells where he was the client partner for many of the Oxford and Cambridge colleges. He led the development of major mixed-use schemes including Cambridge Science Park and Dunsfold Park for Trinity College, Cambridge. His appointment reflects the continued growth of Quadrant’s Strategic Development team, which is now headed by Kylie Phillpotts and builds on the firm’s 25-year track record of working with landowners including universities to unlock complex sites and maximise their potential through masterplanning and development management.
Sebastian Patrick also joins the Strategic Development team as Associate Partner. A RICS chartered surveyor, Sebastian has seven years of experience in real estate investment, development and debt advisory. Most recently, he was Investment Manager at Monogram Living, where he led origination and evaluation of new opportunities for the UK build-to-rent portfolio. He has previously held roles at Montane Partners and Tritax Symmetry, and brings a holistic perspective on the real estate lifecycle, having worked with institutional partners and private family offices to develop strategies, underwrite deals and raise finance.
Alice Liao joins as Associate Partner in the Transactions team. She was most recently a Senior Investment Analyst at Greystar, overseeing a £3.5bn asset portfolio and leading business planning for development assets. Alice has deep expertise in assessing value-add opportunities, supporting asset acquisitions, disposals and refinancing initiatives, and enhancing portfolio value. She began her career at Huge Young Real Estate in Taiwan and holds a BA in Real Estate and Built Environment from National Taipei University and an MSc in Real Estate from Bayes Business School in London. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
John Maddison, Managing Partner at Quadrant, said:
“These appointments reflect our continued commitment to building deep expertise across our investment, transactions and strategic development capabilities. With John and Sebastian working alongside Kylie, we are further strengthening our ability to offer landowners a one-stop shop to maximise long-term value from complex or underused sites. We’re excited to welcome them to the team along with Alice, whose appointment reflects the growth of our transactions team and follows Pei and Vanessa’s well-deserved promotions.”
