Quadrant, the independent UK real estate asset management and development company, has promoted John Maddison to Managing Partner to play a key role in managing the growing firm.
John, who has been at Quadrant for nearly 10-years, will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the business including accounting, HR and wider operations continuing to work closely with founding partners Christopher Daniel and Tristram Gethin.
His promotion comes at an exciting time for Quadrant, which is securing new mandates with international investors, institutions and family offices, at what many believe is an attractive point to invest in UK real estate opportunities including in the Central London and UK retail park sectors Quadrant specialises in. Quadrant’s business, and in turn its staff headcount is growing because of this, and John’s experience and knowledge of the firm makes him an ideal candidate to manage it going forward.
In the near decade John has spent at Quadrant, he has gained an in-depth knowledge of the firm, while leading asset management, leasing and occupier relationships as well as retail and leisure investment underwriting, acquisitions and disposals. John was previously Head of Retail Warehouse Asset Management at British Land PLC and was responsible for managing the company’s large portfolio of retail parks and shopping parks.
He will continue to lead Quadrant’s highly successful UK retail and leisure team, which specialises in investing in and managing out-of-town assets with retail and leisure park portfolio that includes both Gallagher Shopping Park (J9, M6) and Star City two of Birmingham’s largest out-of-town destinations.
